ART TALENT SHOW 2022 I documentary I 102 min
As every year, the talent admissions exams are being held on the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Across three different ateliers, the movie observes the background of a difficult task that stands in front of institution’s pedagogues: how to pick, from the legion of participants, the chosen ones that will be given the chance to form the tone of fine arts for years to come? How will the academics themselves hold up during the exams? And what shall all this tell us about the nature and meaning of art nowadays?

PSH - Neverending story
2022 I documentary I 70 min
Orion, Vladimir 518 and Mike Trafik are Peneři strýčka Homeboye (Uncle Homeboy’s Hoboes). Three lads from Prague, legendary rappers on the cusp of middle age, friends. Graffiti, the first attempts at rap, parties, fame, booze and drugs. Sky-rocketing popularity (but well-earned), downfalls, crises and comebacks. A cleverly shot, incisive triple portrait that flouts all the taboos.

The Investigator 2022 I documentary I 80 min
Vladimír Dzuro is the first Czech investigator to have worked for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. He collected evidence against war criminals and hunted perpetrators of ethnic cleansing. The two biggest cases include the Ovcara massacre related to Vukovar's mayor Slavko Dokmanovic, and the ethnic cleansing committed by the warlord Zeljko Raznatovic Arkan. We join Vladimír Dzuro on his metaphorical and real journey across the places of investigation in the former Yugoslavia and meet some survivors of these cases. What is the landscape of the Balkans, which saw a fratricidal conflict twenty-five years ago, like today? What happened to the people who still live there and to their memory? What is the significance and meaning of justice brought from the outside? The film is inspired by Vladimir Dzuro's bestselling book The Investigator - Demons of the Balkan War (Grada, 2017, and Potomac Books, 2019).

TWO ROADS
2019 I documentary I 80 min
A cruel film about the joy of life.
What would you do with your life if you knew that the Grim Reaper were lurking much closer than usual? That's precisely the fate of some of the members of the popular band The Tap Tap, all of whom are disabled (or as they cynically call themselves, crippled). Yet, one thing is clear to them. They live full-on and enjoy every minute. The Tap Tap orchestra proves that when you don't take things too seriously and remain positive, you can face the most difficult obstacles and live the life of the rock stars.

OFF SIDES
2019 I documentary I 75 min
Ten years ago a handful of enthusiasts began playing ice hockey in Morocco. A few years later the Czech embassy learned about their activities and decided to support the traditional Czech sport. This gave rise to the idea of an exchange trip, where the Czech Republic and Morocco would host each other's hockey teams. The invitation was ultimately taken up by a team from the east Bohemian town of Náchod. Following up on FC Roma, documentarists Rozálie Kohoutová and Tomáš Bojar turn once again to the world of sports, employing empathy and their exceptional observational talent to ask universal questions. This time they focus on Czech and Moroccan teenagers, two teams that meet both on and off the ice. While the game has clear rules, the same can’t be said of life in Morocco and the CR.
