Messiah Superstar

In the 90s, Thomas Janowski (Florian Lukas), aka Messiah, was a big star. His hit “XTC” stormed the charts. His girlfriend is Sabrina Setlur, his rival Oli P. has left him behind. Life could be so good. But even his second song “Sexy Sex” can't match the success of its predecessor... Today, almost 30 years later, the former star runs his mother Bettina's (Johanna Gastdorf) restaurant in a rather bleak area. However, when he receives the unique offer to be accompanied for a docu-soap, Messiah, with the support of his manager Leon (Jonas Nay), senses a great opportunity for a comeback...
